Get your Stoplight Pro device up and running in just a few minutes:
Step 1: Mount the Device
Attach the Stoplight Pro device to your windshield directly below the rearview mirror for optimal traffic light visibility and easy viewing of the display.
Step 2: Download the App
Install the Stoplight Pro app from the App Store (iOS 15.0 or later). Android support is coming soon. The app is available for download from your account page.
Step 3: Connect to Device
Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to pair your phone with the device via Bluetooth. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.
Step 4: Start Driving
Leave the app running in the background and drive normally. The device will automatically detect traffic lights and display countdown predictions.

How does Stoplight Pro work?

Do I need an active subscription?
Yes, Stoplight Pro requires an active subscription to use the prediction service. We offer two tiers: Standard ($5/month) and Insider ($7/month). You can manage your subscription from your account page.
Does the app need to run in the foreground?
No! The Stoplight Pro app is designed to run in the background. Simply open the app once, and it will automatically connect and work while you drive. You don't need to keep the app open on your screen.
Will Stoplight Pro work everywhere?
Stoplight Pro works best in areas with active users contributing to the network. The more drivers using Stoplight Pro in your area, the better the predictions become. The system continuously learns and improves as the network grows.
Is my location data private?
Absolutely. Your driving data stays private. Only anonymous timing patterns are shared to improve the system for everyone. We never sell or share your personal location data with third parties.
How accurate are the predictions?
Stoplight Pro's AI provides high accuracy predictions that improve over time. Accuracy varies by location based on network density and traffic signal patterns. Areas with more active users typically see the most accurate predictions.
Does the device need to be charged?
No! The device has a large built-in battery that stays topped off through solar charging when mounted on your windshield. Under normal use, the battery maintains charge indefinitely without any cables or external charging. The solar panel continuously recharges the battery while your car is parked in daylight. For backup charging in extended low-light conditions (such as winter months or covered parking), the device includes a USB-C charging port that works with any standard USB-C cable.
Troubleshooting
Device won't connect to app
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone
- Make sure the device is properly mounted
- Try force-closing and reopening the app
- Restart your phone and try again
- Ensure you're within Bluetooth range (typically 30 feet)
No predictions showing
- Verify you have an active subscription in your account
- Ensure the app is running (check background apps)
- Check that location services are enabled for the app
- Drive to an area with traffic lights to allow the system to detect signals
- Network learning may take a few trips in new areas
Predictions not accurate
- The system learns over time - accuracy improves with more usage

I haven't received my verification email

How do I update my subscription?
Log in to your account page and navigate to the Billing & Subscription section. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time.
How do I update my payment method?
Visit your account page, go to Billing & Subscription, and click "Update Payment Method" to add or change your payment information.
Can I pause my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription at any time. Your service will continue until the end of your current billing period. You can reactivate anytime from your account page.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Log in to your account, go to Billing & Subscription, and click "Cancel Subscription." Your access will continue through the end of your paid period.
Device Care
Cleaning your device
Clean the device display with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could scratch the display or damage the housing.
Storage
When not in use, store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Consider removing the device from your windshield if parking in extreme heat for extended periods.
Mounting
The device is designed for secure attachment to your windshield. If the adhesive loses strength, clean both the windshield and device surface before reattaching.
